"The cost of poverty is having other people make decisions about how you live your life."
- Anthony McCune
Reflections of a 90-year old man; a bit past mid-way in the journey. (currently in the 40's) Looking back on the events that have shaped a life. Exploring the life that could be. How did you get here and where are you going?? Seconds turn into months. Days pass into decades. Time marches on relentlessly. These are the days of a life that has evolved...and continues to change.

i do believe this is true in so many ways!!
one example ii will write about is that a freind of mine was laid off from work a single mother with two kids she went to apply for food stamps
when asked if she had any pets she said yes a small dog, they told her she could not have a dog
because it cost to much to own one and she would not be eligible for help until she got rid of it-- true story-- i don't think they can do that but still the government tries to tell what to do and how to live anytime you need just a little bit of their help!!
I absolutely agree. I've seen proof of this and that's why if I can help it, I try not to borrow money or owe favors. Once someone gives you money, they somehow feel entitled to tell you how to run your life.
